Accommodation Overview

Whilst the era of old style pub accommodation, with shared bathrooms, tiny bedrooms, and a little kitchenette at the end of the corridor, still has its place in country towns around Australia, The accommodation landscape changed significantly at the turn of the century with the introduction of Bed & Breakfast lodgings, and the likes of AirBnB. Today, what we would have considered as "luxury" twenty or thirty years ago, is now considered as "standard" for short term accommodation.

When Hotel Trentham was originally built in 1926, it was for accommodation lodgings and a place for a feed and a drink for the travelling miners, the seasonal timber workers, and a place to rest the horses. As we undertook the renovations of the pub in 2023, it was evident that the eight rooms for accommodation, with a "ladies room" and a "gents room" at either end of the hallway wasn't going to make the grade for a town now more familiar with travelling nomads, the seasonal tourists, and a place to rest the family.

Instead, Hotel Trentham has two modern and fully furnished 'hotel style' two story villas, which are situated adjacent to one another, making it the perfect stay for family & friends, and the perfect base to explore Trentham. Hotel Trentham Villas are located approximately 100 metres from Hotel Trentham, and just 50 metres from Trenthams two main streets, filled with gourmet bakeries & cafes, wonderful restaurants & wine bars, beautiful boutiques, renown antique shops, and just a short 5 minute drive to the Trentham Golf Club, Trentham Falls, and The Wombat State Forest.

Unlike many other short stay accommodation places in regional Victoria, we have someone available at the pub from early in the morning until late at night, seven days a week (incase there is a problem), and you can check-in at the pub if needed. Most importantly, you get to choose who you share the bathroom with!
