Trentham is famous for farming some of the country’s best seasonal produce, from potatoes to pork to pinot, it’s no surprise that Trentham is one of Victoria’s most visited foodie destinations; From Chef Annie Smithers du Fermier French Farmhouse restaurant, to bakeries turning out award-winning sourdough breads, such as the historical Red Beard Bakery. Equally, not too may towns with a population of just 1500 people has three iconic pubs! Hotel Trentham sits in the heart of town, with the much awarded Cosmopolitan Hotel just down the street, and the iconic Pig & Whistle Hotel just a few km's down the road.

Trentham is a genuinely unique country village filled with character, interesting stores, cute cottages, gorgeous gardens and superb accommodation, and within 30 minutes of Daylesford, Woodend, Glenlyon, Hepburn, and Kyneton. Trentham is also the perfect place to base yourself whilst discovering the region, with a truly wonderful 18 hole golf course in town, and the magnificent Trentham Falls just 5 minutes away, which is Victoria’s highest single-drop waterfall.

Trentham is surrounded by The Wombat State Forest, and the Lerderderg State Park, where you can find yourself immersed in Australian flora, wandering paths alongside beautiful old creeks & trees, enjoying a picnic with the soothing sounds of water, or simply enjoy the songs of native wildlife. With no shortage of Australian fauna (you will always find a few kangaroos on the golf course) and an incredible array of birdlife, the region boasts some of the best bush walks that can be enjoyed on foot, on bike and even horseback!
