With just 39 destinations across six countries selected to host the prestigious tour of the 2024 Lexus Melbourne Cup, our wonderful regional town of Trentham - and in particular our wonderful pub Hotel Trentham - will be showcasing the Melbourne Cup on Wednesday 16th October, which will be one of the last dates of an International tour of The Melbourne Cup, which has seen the Cup tour the world from bustling global cities to remote Australian communities, with each stop on the tour offering a unique opportunity to experience the excitement of the Cup.

To celebrate this unique experience, Hotel Trentham is hosting a very special luncheon event, which will feature Melbourne Cup jockey Jamie Kah, as well as a presentation by Sky Racing Expert Marc Ohlmus, and a chance to be photographed with 2024 Lexus Melbourne Cup.

Hotel Trentham would like to thank the Victorian Racing Committee and The 2024 Lexus Melbourne Cup for selecting our wonderful and historical town for this very special event & our luncheon event partners for helping put on this very special day.

Our beautiful township of Trentham (and in particular our historic pub 'Hotel Trentham') is one of only 24 Australian towns to have been selected as a part of the 2024 Melbourne Cup Tour, and one of eight international destinations on the 2024 itinerary, which sees The Cup also travel to Tokyo, London, Dublin, Galway, Auckland and Cambridge. The 18-carat gold cup – recently valued at $750,000 – will also visit seven Australian states and territories as part of its 39-stop trip around the globe from May 31 to Melbourne Cup Day on November 5.

Co-owner of Hotel Trentham Chris Anstey, and Victorian Jockey Will Price, may not see eye to eye on who's the best horse going around at the moment, but they both agree that its a sure bet that the town of Trentham will turn up in droves to see The Cup when it comes to town on the 16th October.
